Thank you for visiting my homepage. I offer Doula services to pregnant woman and their families. "Doula" is derived from a Greek word meaning "female slave/servant". A birth doula is trained in techniques and comfort measures to make labor and delivery progress smoothly and be a positive experience for the mother. A doula supports the mom and any other family in the room during the birth of their baby. The doula provides compassionate care and uses her expertise to guide a mother through the process of birthing her newborn. Statistics show that using a birth doula will cut down on pain and interventions that may arise in Labor and Delivery by at least 50%. The birth doula brings cofidence and support for you during this magnificent event of giving life to a child. When you hire me as a birth doula, I also provide two pre-natal visits (to include helping your write your personalized birth and postpardum plans and to include information on labor and delivery), on call phone or email information throughout your pregnancy, on site support throughout labor and delivery, and a post natal follow up. Also available for those who request it is a Christian woman's Birth Plan which will include the spiritual aspects of giving life to a baby along with scriptural truths that will help to give you strength for the journey ahead.
